GKP Members have developed many successful projects in their constituencies which merit Scaling-up, Dissemination and/or Replication (SDR). The lack of funding, the cost and know how to prepare proposals and access donors, the need for implementing partners, amongst other obstacles, often hinder such SDR outreach, thus preventing the members to share the knowledge in reducing the digital divide and contributing to development and poverty alleviation.

To address this issue and with an objective to facilitate the multi stakeholder partnerships to the members, GKPFoundation announced the ‘Call for successful projects for the SDR (scale-up, disseminate and replicate), in the month of October 2010. Each project idea was thoroughly reviewed and jointly evaluated by the GKP Executive and the Secretariat, based on which twelve successful project ideas got finally selected in November 2010. The selected project ideas are now ready to receive immediate technical assistance and funding support from interested partners, social investors and donor agencies. GKP plays a vital and prime role in providing the following opportunities to these selected projects:

• Launches, provides continuity and sustainability to such initiatives through strong funding and technical assistance for programming, networking and fund-raising
• Promotes the project to potential donors at every appropriate opportunity and leads to increased funding
• Provides the earned revenues to the lead and participating GKP members for implementing the project for further scaling up, diffusion and replication
