GKPF and NPOC at ICANN 46, Beijing

Dear Friends,

On 7-11th of April, the 46th meeting of ICANN is taking place in Beijing. (For more information see: http://beijing46.icann.org/ ).  To reach another person on the Internet you have to type an address into your computer - a name or a number. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN coordinates these unique identifiers across the world. Without that coordination,…

Dear Wisdom Sena Agoha

I am certain your registration with GKPF will go through soon. There is simply a little delay in order for the trustees to approve applications. Let's talk about more important issues, how can we support you and your organization? For an organization like GKPF we need to know what your needs are and how we and/or the membership organizations can support you. At the same time we need to know what you might be able to contribute to the other members in the network. I have just opened the Open Forum, please register and tell us all what you need and what you can offer. Please, be as concrete as you can. Organizations like yours often need funding support, so GKPF has reacted to that need and we will in the next days open a online donation service for GKPF member projects. Look out for the announcement which will come soon. Yours Klaus

Dear Stoll, Greetings from PROTEGE QV.
As GKPF member, for my organization, we would like to build partnership with other organizations deal with ICT, micro enterprises, leadership and sustainable environnement, our four main programs. So we pay more attention on network, collaborative work, ressource mobilization and sharing knowledge.
For myself, capacity building on these subjects, sharing knowledge on good practice in the local and community level will improve our achievements.

Dear Momeni Avis. Thank for your mail. I think the bast way to make happen what you are looking for and the way GKPF and its members can support you is that you simply state 1) this is what my organization needs.(not only financial resources, but also what other knowledge resources are needed, and 2) this is what my organization can offer to the other GKPF members. Two very simple but important questions because if we have the answers to them we can match up the needs with the talents, connect the dots and make progress. I am thinking about creating such a virtual space where needs and capacities can be documented and exchanged here on the www site. What do you think about it, but please make a start by letting us know what your needs and capacities are. Looking forward to it.
