The stage is set for the final act of this year’s jury evaluation: Within the following days, jurors will make their final decision about this year’s WSA-mobile winners.

But the winners’ announcement is not going to be the end of the WSA season: Within the next four month, we will take you on a journey around the world. We will show you how mobile apps change the way we live, learn, do business, and communicate. Right after announcing this year’s winners, WSA Team will get off to Montreal to report from the World Conference on the Information Society (WCIT). We will keep you updated about the highlights of the conference, meeting high ranking speakers such as Wim Elfrink, Bernard Charlès, Juliana Rotich, Andrew P. McAfee. Furthermore, we will support the World Summit Youth Award Team organizing the youth activities at WCIT.

Young digital rebels changing their world

Watch WSA at TedxSalzburg

Every year, 11 million children under the age of five die, mainly from preventable diseases. At the same time more and more young people around the globe speak up against hunger, poverty and injustice They set out to face the biggest challenges in their communities, using their native language: digital technology. On September 29th, WSA Chairman Peter A. Bruck held a Tedx talk about young digital rebels, setting out to put the Millenium Development Goals into action.
